is this an average sized king bolete? what size? how much did it weigh? i’ve found a few king bolete here but i’m really looking forward to the morel madness, come springtime in Ferry county, WA.

The Bolete in the back of my truck was unusually large for boletes in this area! We sometimes find them this big, but they are usually soft and wormy. This one was still firm and relatively worm free. I would guess that it weighed 3-4 lbs.
